As of HashPack v10.3.0 users can now toggle a Spam filter in the History tab to hide spam and malicious URLs.
Recently scammers have been flooding the network with memo scams. You can safely ignore these spam messages. HashPack blocks URLs sent in memos to help thwart phishing attempts by scammers.
Scammers send a small amount of HBAR to thousands of different wallets with a positive balance to trigger pending staking rewards to make it appear as though they airdropped HBAR to your account when in reality the Hedera network just awarded pending staking rewards for any transactions to or from your wallet.
To fall victim to the scam the user needs to go to the malicious website written in the memo which will often imitate HashPack to look legitimate and ask for the users seed phrase or private key -or- to connect to a dapp which creates an Allowance, leading to loss of funds.
Unfortunately there is no way to completely block these messages as the Hedera network cannot be censored but these messages can be safely ignored.
