Yes. For users with existing Hedera network accounts, you can import your account into HashPack using your account ID and either a Private Key or 12/24 word mnemonic phrase. After verifying the information with the Hedera network, you will be prompted to enter a nickname for the wallet. Then your wallet will be ready to use.
To import an existing Hedera account into HashPack:
- Launch HashPack and select I already have a wallet.
- Choose and Confirm your password, agree to the Terms and Conditions then select Next.
- Under Import existing wallet, select the applicable recovery mechanism to import your account (e.g Continue with email, Import recovery phrase or Import private key) and click Next.
- Verify your recovery mechanism via the applicable method and click Next.
- Name your wallet - Enter a nickname for your HashPack wallet.
- Press Import wallet. Congratulations, you've successfully imported Hedera account with HashPack.
There are three types of accounts on HashPack:
- Email accounts are secured using your email address via Magic Link authentication.
No recovery phrase/private key is required. Not connected to hardware wallets. - Normal accounts are secured by a secret 24-word recovery phrase.
Not connected to email or hardware wallets. - Hardware wallet accounts are secured using your physical Ledger/DCENT device.
Not connected to email or normal account recovery phrase.
