You may wish to remove your old 2-factor authenticator from your account in the event your device has been lost or stolen and you are unable to restore your authenticator on your new device.
After you have downloaded HashPack on your new device, follow these steps to remove your authenticator:
- Select I already have a wallet.
- Create a new password (Chrome extension or web app only).
- Enter your email address and click Continue with email.
- Navigate to the HashPack email sent and open the link. You will be presented with a 6-digit authenticator code field, below that, click I lost my device.
- Enter the 8-character recovery code issued by Magic Link when your authenticator was first added to the account.
You have now removed the authenticator linked to this account and can add a new authenticator at any time.
